œ The Origin of the Name œ

The character of Tsubaki "’Φ" literally means Camellia in English, and it was originated in Japan. In addition to the Chinese character in Japanese language, there are some native ideographs which were created in Japan. Since the letter composed with "–Ψ" Tree and "t" Spring, Camellia expresses how delightful our feeling is when we find some sign of the spring. It also has been said Camellia is an auspicious plant which defeats the evils, because the plant has the power of "Λ" Zuisho which is the symbol of good luck, and "”jŽΧ" Hajya which has the meaning of triumph the wrong idea.

We desire to bring a peace of mind as coming of spring, toward people who suffer from agnoy amd sadness. We will be very happy if they turn their eyes to others, and extend the thought of tenderness and happiness. We named our group The Tsubaki Ensemble for the flower of Tsubaki, because we wish to share the power of "’Φ".
